Welcome!

How much do you know about your family of origin?

I grew up knowing almost nothing about mine. In truth, I was not particularly interested, until I stumbled across an extraordinary revelation about my dad, quite by accident, on the internet. With further research, I was able to piece together the shocking truth behind my dad’s immigration after World War II. What I discovered made me reevaluate my relationship with him, and consider the consequences for those who are abandoned when our politicians form alliances with brutal dictatorships, creating a disturbing and recurrent pattern of ethical dilemmas. This website shares more about my story, how I discovered that my family were victims of a genocide that has been kept secret for eighty years.

This website is also an invitation for you to look more into your family history. Perhaps there is a fascinating story about your ancestors too. A friend once told me, “What we don’t realize is that we’ve already won the biggest lottery of life. We were born in the West. We’ve had opportunities to develop our lives in ways that are unimaginable in other parts of the world.” Before he said that, I thought I had “earned” my privileged existence through my own talent and endeavors.

Many of us who live in the West are descended from immigrants who left their country of origin in search of a better life for us. I am one of them. Perhaps you are too.

I hope you enjoy my website. I would love to hear from you!

Thank you so much for visiting!
